Jim Starr was not only a trusted colleague but a true friend to all of us — and to every client he served. He founded Starr Investments in the late 1990s to help business owners provide their employees with meaningful retirement savings opportunities.

Jim had a genuine passion for helping small businesses, individuals, and families prepare for the future. He was also instrumental in our firm’s move to United Planners Financial Services, an independent broker-dealer aligned with our shared values of service and integrity.

We miss Jim’s laugh, wit, stories, and deep patriotism. His caring spirit continues to guide us as we strive to make him proud.
